Preparation of the National IPA Project for the Quality Infrastructure
Cooperation9th July 2008 - A meeting with the representatives of the CARDS Regional Quality Infrastructure Project was held today at the premises of the ATS as regards the adoption of the National IPA Quality Infrastructure Project that will enable the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development to apply for the EU funding within the scope of IPA.
A meeting with the representatives of the CARDS Regional Quality Infrastructure Project was held today at the premises of the ATS as regards the adoption of the National IPA Quality Infrastructure Project that will enable the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development to apply for the EU funding within the scope of IPA.
During the meeting recommendations were made as regards the results of the future project
that should contain the following:
- establishment of a regional centre of technical assessors and experts,
- changes in the legislation governing quality infrastructure
- development of an IT system for accreditation purposes
- “ hands-on training” sessions for accreditation assessors
- and mini projects for the development of new accreditation schemes.
Dejan Krnjaić, PhD, and Dragan Pušara, MSc, the Director and Deputy Director of the ATS, attended the meeting on behalf of the Accreditation Board, while Miodrag Dugandžija represented the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development and Tanja Turquin Spicanovic, as the Director of the Cards Regional Quality Infrastructure Project.
Furthermore, Hugo A.M. van Veghel, a representative of the Directorate General of the European Commission (DG Enlargement), visited the ATS today and he talked with Dejan Krnjaić, PhD, the Director of the ATS about the evaluation of the CARDS 2006 Project.
On that occasion they talked about the programme and those that attended the meeting agreed that the programme had been very successful both as a whole and in certain technical aspects. Although the representatives of the ATS did not participate in the development of this project, it was concluded that the concept of the programme was very good, and the representatives of the ATS expressed their willingness to take more active part in both development and implementation of the future projects.
