New members of the Management and Supervisory Boards appointed
Laws and regulationsMembers of the new Supervisory and Management Boards of the Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) were appointed at the 435th meeting of the Government of the Republic of Serbia that was held on 29th April 2011.
Snježana Pupavac MSc in Agriculture, Director of EKO-LAB for Quality Management, Padinska Skela, was appointed the Chair of the ATS Management Board. Other members of the Management Board are as follows: Lazar Turubatović PhD, Scientific Adviser, Institute of Meat Hygiene and Technology Belgrade, Zlatibor Savić, law graduate from Kragujevac, Nenad Spasović, graduate manager (industrial management), Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning, and Bratislav Milošević PhD in veterinary medicine, ATS.
Members of the Supervisory Board are as follows: Aleksandar Gajić PhD as Chair, full professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, other members: Jovanka Lević PhD in Technology, Director of the Scientific Institute for Food Technologies, University of Novi Sad, and Biljana Tomić, law graduate, Head of the Division for Legal and General Affairs, ATS.
Pursuant to the Law on Accreditation and Decision on Amendments to the Act on Establishment of the Accreditation Board of Serbia, the ATS organs are as follows: Management Board, Director and Supervisory Board.
The Management Board defines the ATS policy and monitors its implementation. Furthermore, the Management Board passes the Statute, Work Programme that includes the Financial Plan, adopts the Financial Report and adopts the ATS Annual Report, makes decisions on the use of assets as stipulated by the law, makes decisions on accreditation fee rates, appoints and replaces the Chair and members of the Accreditation Council.
The Supervisory Board is an organ conducting surveillance into the legitimacy of the work and financial activities of the ATS and is accountable to the Management Board. The Supervisory Board conducts surveillance into the legitimacy of the work of ATS organs, controls authenticity and completeness of the Report on Work Programme Implementation, controls authenticity and completeness of the Financial Report, and performs other activities as stipulated by the law, Act on Establishment and the ATS Statute.
