Meeting between ATS and CABs on the subject of the application of ATS-PA02

Meetings with conformity assessment bodies (testing and calibration laboratories) were held at the premises of the Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) in the period between 20th and 22nd November 2012 and on 11th December 2012 on the subject of application of the document entitled ATS-PA02, Rules for the Participation in Inter-laboratory Comparisons and Proficiency Testing Schemes.

Application of the ATS-PA 02 rules was explained by means of the following presentations: Importance of laboratory participation in PT schemes and provision of trust in the quality of testing/calibration results with special emphasis on the interpretation of the ATS-PA02 requirements.

The delegates were explained the difference between the ILCs and PT schemes, while the obligation of laboratories to observe the ATS PA 02 requirements was reiterated given that this is one of the accreditation criteria.

Positive results of the participation in bilateral comparisons of calibration laboratories with a national metrology institute that published the CMCs at the BIPM database can be considered as adequate fulfilment of the ATS PA-02 requirements.
