Public invitation to lead and technical assessors to apply

The Accreditation Body of Serbia saw the need to hire a larger number of lead and technical assessors for the purpose of assessment of inspection and certification bodies. A larger number of the following training sessions will be delivered during autumn:

for lead assessors assessing inspection and certification bodies as per SRPS ISO/IEC 17020 or SRPS ISO/IEC 17021, and for technical assessors assessing certification bodies as per SRPS ISO/IEC 17021.

Candidates meeting the criteria listed below should submit, by 15th August 2011, to the Accreditation Body of Serbia completed applications for assessors and technical experts at the following address: Accreditation Body of Serbia, 2 Mihailo Pupin Boulevard, New Belgrade or at the following e-mail address office@ats.rs.

In addition to the application requiring submission of certain documents, candidates will need to submit proof confirming the fulfilment of the defined criteria for the selection of assessors they are applying for. Candidates for assessors assessing certification bodies need to submit the information about previous experience in assessing certification bodies certifying management systems.

Criteria for the selection of lead assessors assessing inspection bodies as per SRPS ISO/IEC 17020:

- educational background: university degree in technical and technological sciences, natural sciences and mathematics, medical and biochemical sciences;
- work experience: at least four years of work experience in one of the technical fields, at least two of which must relate to management systems and/or management system audits in terms of testing and/or inspection activities

Criteria for the selection of lead assessors assessing certification bodies as per SRPS ISO/IEC 17021:

- educational background: university degree in technical and technological sciences, natural sciences and mathematics, medical and biochemical sciences;
- work experience: at least four years of work experience in one of the technical fields, at least two of which must relate to quality management systems (QMS) or two years which must relate to environmental management system (EMS)
- previous knowledge and skills: to be trained as assessors/internal assessors or as quality managers
- audit experience: four complete audits with a total of 20 audit days in the last 3 years including audits performed during auditor induction training period

Criteria for the selection of technical assessors assessing certification bodies as per SRPS ISO/IEC 17021:

- educational background: university degree in technical and technological sciences, natural sciences and mathematics, medical and biochemical sciences;
- work experience: at least four years of work experience, at least two of which must relate to quality management systems (QMS) or two years which must relate to environmental management system (EMS)
- previous knowledge and skills:
1. to be trained as assessors/internal assessors or quality managers
2. knowledge of laws and regulations governing processes and/or products
- specific knowledge and skills as regards quality management systems/ environmental management system:
1. for QMS: knowledge of quality methods and techniques (e.g. training in how to apply quality management methods) and knowledge of processes and products, including services (e.g. work experience related to production planning or to services)
2. for EMS: knowledge of environmental management system methods and techniques (e.g. training in how to evaluate environmental performances) and/or experience in pollution prevention and/or knowledge of technical aspects and environmental aspects (e.g. training in how to store, use and dispose of materials and their impact on environment, completed training or experience related to the operation of the emergency response team)
- audit experience: four complete audits with a total of 20 audit days in the last 3 years including audits performed during auditor induction training period.
