Selection of sectoral committee members

Due to great interest and wish of the ATS to involve all interested parties in the establishment of sectoral committees for the purpose of accreditation decision-making, the Accreditation Board of Serbia hereby invites interested candidates to apply.


The Accreditation Board of Serbia hereby invites interested candidates to apply in accordance with the conditions specified below.

At its 26th meeting, Management Board of the Accreditation Board of Serbia made a Decision on the Mode of Forming Accreditation Committees and Selecting the Members Thereof, Their Working Methods and Accreditation Decision-Making Process.

A decision on formation of sectoral committees was made at the joint meeting of the Management Board and Accreditation Council for the purpose of accreditation decision-making process as follows:

-  Sectoral committee for laboratories testing pressure vessels, motor vehicles, metallic materials, protective equipment, non-destructive testing (NDT), hydraulics, thermotechnics – 10 members;

- Sectoral committee for laboratories testing food, items of general use, tobacco, agricultural products, including animal feed, seeds, plant material – 10 members;

-  Sectoral committee for laboratories testing environmental samples of: air, water, soil, waste – 10 members;

- Sectoral committee for laboratories testing building materials, wood, building constructions – 6 members;

- Sectoral committee for laboratories testing electrical appliances and devices, electrical and lighting protection systems, electrical equipment – 4 members;

- Sectoral committee for laboratories testing petroleum, colours, gases, solid fuels, chemical preparations and raw materials, fertilisers, rocks and ores – 6 members;

-  Sectoral committee for medical laboratories – 4 members;

- Sectoral Committee for calibration laboratories – 14 members;

- Sectoral Committee for inspection bodies – 10 members;

- Sectoral Committee for certification bodies certifying products – 6 members;

- Sectoral Committee for certification bodies certifying management systems – 6 members;
- Sectoral committee for certification bodies (environmental protection and occupational safety) – 6 members

- Sectoral committee for certification bodies (food safety) – 6 members.

Criteria for the appointment of sectoral committee members:

- university degree;
- at least four years of work experience and qualifications in the field of accreditation, i.e. conformity assessment (knowledge of national and international standards and legislation governing accreditation and conformity assessment).

Members of the sectoral committees shall be selected from the representatives of:
- faculties and institutes;
- accredited conformity assessment bodies;
- technical assessors and technical experts from the Register of Assessors and Technical Experts of the Accreditation Board of Serbia;
- public administration (ministries, agencies, directorates in charge of accreditation, standardisation, metrology and conformity assessment-related issues);
- companies, chambers, etc.

Candidates meeting the criteria for the appointment of sectoral committee members should submit their applications to the Accreditation Board of Serbia by 15th January 2011. These applications shall include the Curricula Vitae and reference lists containing technical papers, professional results, etc. and be sent to the following address: Accreditation Board of Serbia, Bulevar Mihaila Pupina 2, New Belgrade.
