AC, MB meetings and joint AC and MB meeting held
Current eventsMeetings of the Accreditation Council (AC) and Management Board (MB) and a joint AC and MB meeting were held at the premises of the Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) on 20th December 2012.
The AC reviewed, in keeping with its competences and pursuant to Article 48 of the Statute, the establishment of temporary technical committees as part of standing technical committees and proposed ATS to establish seven temporary technical committees. Temporary technical committees are established for specific schemes of accreditation to deal with specific and technical issues falling within specific fields of accreditation. The Council identified the interested parties, defined the criteria for the selection of temporary technical committee members, while the ATS shall invite the interested parties thereafter to submit, within a defined deadline, their proposals for the selection and appointment of the temporary technical committee members. The Council shall, at its next meeting, review the received applications and propose to the Director the temporary technical committee members to be selected and appointed.
AC meeting
The 2012 Accreditation Committee Report was reviewed at the joint MB and AC meeting; as well as the information about the new edition of SRPS ISO/IEC 17020:2012 – requirements for different types of inspection bodies. Furthermore, a detailed report on the operation of the following international organisations for accreditation was reviewed: European co-operation for Accreditation (EA), International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
Pursuant to its legally defined scope of competence, MB adopted the 2013 Work Programme with Financial Plan of the Accreditation Body of Serbia after it had reviewed all the proposed projects that ATS intended to put in place in 2013 and those included the following: maintenance of existing accreditations and new accreditations; maintenance of the multilateral agreement signed with EA for laboratories, inspection and certification bodies and harmonisation of the accreditation system; participation in the work of European and international organisations for accreditation; development of the new accreditation schemes; upgrade of competence of permanent employees and external experts and promotion of importance and role of the accreditation system and conformity assessment in Serbia and EU.
