ATS representatives visited IARM
CooperationRepresentatives of the Accreditation body of Serbia (ATS) visited the Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia (IARM) in the period between 28th and 30th January 2015 as part of the cooperation arrangements arising from the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed with IARM for the first time in 2005 and renewed in 2008. The purpose of this MoU is to ensure continuous cooperation and therefore harmonised performance of accreditation activities between the two accreditation bodies. Moreover, the accreditation bodies will actively participate in the development and upgrade of the accreditation systems in both countries.
Issues of mutual interest as regards the development of the accreditation systems were reviewed during the visit and hence the observance of principles and norms adopted by the European and international organisations for accreditation (EA, ILAC and IAF) was taken into consideration. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the cooperation will be continued through joint workshops and conferences, provision of training, exchange of assessors and technical experts, and CAB participation in recommended inter-laboratory comparisons and PT schemes.
Milica Lukešević, ATS Acting Director, and Bojana Jović, Junior Legal Adviser, attended the meeting on behalf of ATS.
