INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION DAY-9TH JUNE 2017
Accreditation DayOn June 9, 2017, the International Day of Accreditation on Global Level is celebrated as a date jointly established by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) in order for the public to find out more about the importance of accreditation.
This year's theme of the International Day of Accreditation is "Delivering confidence in construction and the built environment". In order to explain accreditation in the best possible way and promote the use of accredited conformity assessment services, the most important international organizations in this field (IAF, ILAC, ISO and IIOC) have developed a website http://www.publicsectorassurance.org/topic-areas/construction, where it can be seen on concrete examples how accreditation and conformity assessment can help the construction sector. The website presents examples from around the world that show how the public sector in various areas benefits from the ongoing application of accreditation as a modern asset that is supported by the work of government and legislators, and includes the following areas: construction, crime and security, economic development, state administration, energy, environmental protection, food safety and agriculture, health and safety, health care, products and services, trade.
