The status of ATS as a signatory of the EA MLA was confirmed and a decision was made to extend the EA MLA to PT providers

The Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) in the period from November 15th to 24th, 2021 was the subject of a new peer evaluation by the evaluation team of the European co-operation for accreditation in accordance with the procedure, EA-2/02 M: 2011 EA Policy and Procedures for the Multilateral Agreement (Annex 9).

The EA MAC Council considered the results of the peer evaluation of ATS and made a decision by an online vote that was open in the period from September 30th to October 14th, 2022 based on the proposal of the EA MAC Management Group, which was previously submitted at the request of additional information and explanations by ATS with the aim of more detailed clarifications regarding certain findings.

EA MAC has issued a decision confirming that ATS remains a signatory to the EA MLA in the field of calibration (EN ISO/IEC 17025), testing (EN ISO/IEC 17025), including medical testing (EN ISO 15189), inspection (EN ISO/IEC 17020), certification of management systems (EN ISO/IEC 17021-1), certification of products, processes and services (EN ISO/IEC 17065), certification of persons (EN ISO/IEC 17024).

Also, EA MAC confirmed that ATS is compliant with all relevant requirements in the field of PT providers, so that ATS can boas about extending its scope of activity, given that the decision was made to extend the EA MLA agreement to PT providers (EN ISO/IEC 17043).

EA MAC also decided that a new peer evaluation of ATS should be conducted in four years (2025) at regular intervals.

Based on the EA MLA agreements signed so far, ATS is a signatory of the ILAC MRA agreement for the fields of testing, calibration, and inspection, as well as a signatory of the IAF MLA agreement for the field of product certification, management system certification and person certification.
